Westminster Backyard Upgrade with FieldTurf and Decorative Stone

The Wessel Project in Westminster was designed as a clean, practical landscape upgrade using durable, low-maintenance materials that work well in Colorado. FRSR replaced the existing yard area with a fresh FieldTurf artificial turf installation, decorative stone, a buff flagstone strip wall, and a new tree to give the space a finished look without the heavy upkeep of natural grass.

The new FieldTurf lawn creates a consistent green area that stays clean, usable, and attractive through Colorado’s changing seasons. It gives the yard the look of a healthy lawn without constant watering, mowing, fertilizing, or patch repair.

FRSR installed 3/4" black granite to create strong contrast around the turf and hardscape areas. The dark granite gives the project a more modern, polished feel while helping reduce maintenance and improve the overall layout of the yard.

A buff flagstone strip wall was added to bring warmth, texture, and structure into the design. The natural stone color softens the black granite and green turf, giving the space a more custom, finished look instead of feeling flat or basic.

The new tree adds vertical interest and helps balance the landscape. As it matures, it will bring shade, color, and a stronger sense of permanence to the backyard.

This Westminster project is a great example of how landscape construction, artificial turf, decorative rock, stonework, and planting details can come together to create a clean Colorado outdoor space built for everyday use.
