Highlands Ranch Backyard Patio with Firepit, Stamped Concrete & Lawn Space

The Tim Project in Highlands Ranch was designed to create a clean and usable backyard outdoor living space with a large stamped concrete patio, built-in firepit, and surrounding sod area. The finished layout gives the homeowner a comfortable space for seating, entertaining, and enjoying the backyard.

FRSR installed a curved stamped concrete patio that follows the shape of the lawn and creates a softer, more custom look than a square patio. The stamped finish adds texture and detail while giving the space a durable surface for Colorado weather.

A custom stone firepit was built into the patio as the main focal point of the backyard. The firepit includes a stone face, capstone top, and lava rock center, creating a clean gathering area that works well with outdoor furniture and everyday use.

The patio was designed with room for multiple seating areas while still leaving a large usable lawn space. This balance keeps the backyard open and functional instead of filling the entire yard with hardscape.

FRSR also installed clean steps from the back door to the patio, helping create a smooth transition from the home into the outdoor living area. The patio edge and elevation were finished to give the project a solid, built-in look.

The surrounding sod gives the yard a finished green space while the rock borders help reduce maintenance and keep the patio edges clean. This combination creates a backyard that feels complete without being overbuilt.
