Littleton Bluestone Flagstone Patio with Outdoor Kitchen, Firepit & Seat Wall

The Smith Project in Littleton was designed as a classic backyard outdoor living space using natural bluestone flagstone, stonework, a built-in grill area, firepit, and curved seat wall. The finished project gives the homeowner a high-end patio space with a natural stone look that fits beautifully with the mature landscape.

FRSR installed a bluestone flagstone patio as the main outdoor living surface. The natural stone finish gives the patio depth, texture, and color variation that works well with the home, lawn, planting beds, and surrounding trees.

A stone outdoor kitchen was added near the home with a built-in stainless steel grill and capstone counter. This gives the homeowner a permanent outdoor cooking area that feels connected to the patio instead of sitting separately in the yard.

The custom stone firepit and curved seat wall create the main gathering area within the patio. The firepit includes a capstone top and lava rock center, while the seat wall adds structure, seating, and definition to the outdoor living space.

Natural stone steps and transitions were built into the layout to improve access from the home to the patio and surrounding yard. These details help the project feel connected and finished from the back door out into the landscape.

The project also included mulch planting beds, decorative rock, plantings, and lighting details to soften the hardscape and make the backyard more usable in the evening. These finishing elements help tie the full space together.
