Arvada Outdoor Living Project with Pergola, Patio, Firepit & Landscape

The Nancy Project in Arvada was designed as a complete backyard outdoor living upgrade with a strong mix of stamped concrete, lawn space, decorative rock, planting beds, boulders, and a custom pergola. The finished project creates a comfortable backyard that works for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the open Colorado views.

FRSR installed a stamped concrete patio to create the main outdoor living area off the back of the home. The decorative concrete finish adds texture and character while providing a durable surface for seating, dining, and everyday use.

A custom wood pergola was built over part of the patio to add shade, structure, and a strong architectural feature to the backyard. The pergola helps define the outdoor living space and gives the patio a more finished, built-in feel.

The project also included a stone firepit as a focal point within the patio area. The firepit creates a natural gathering space and works with the pergola and stamped concrete to make the backyard feel like a complete outdoor room.

A new sod area was installed to provide usable green space while decorative rock and river rock areas help reduce maintenance and create clean transitions around the yard. The lawn, patio, and rock beds were shaped to flow together rather than feel like separate areas.

FRSR also added boulders, trees, evergreens, shrubs, mulch areas, and plantings throughout the yard to bring texture, color, height, and long-term interest to the landscape. These details soften the hardscape and help frame the yard against the surrounding views.

The completed Nancy Project is a strong example of how a pergola, stamped concrete patio, firepit, sod, boulders, rock, and plantings can work together to create a clean Colorado outdoor living space.
