Erie Backyard Patio and Outdoor Living Project

The Milsap Project in Erie was built as a complete backyard transformation with a strong focus on outdoor living, entertaining, and clean Colorado landscape design. FRSR combined a large stamped concrete patio, custom fire pit, curved seat wall, fresh sod, decorative rock, boulders, trees, shrubs, mulch beds, and fencing into one finished backyard space.

The main patio area was created with stamped concrete to provide a large, durable surface for outdoor furniture, entertaining, and everyday use. The curved patio layout helps soften the yard and gives the space a more custom feel than a standard square concrete patio.

A custom stone fire pit and curved seat wall were added as the main gathering area. These hardscape features create a natural focal point in the backyard and give the homeowners a place to relax, entertain, and enjoy the space throughout the Colorado outdoor season.

Fresh sod was installed to create a clean green lawn area around the patio and fire pit space. The lawn balances the hardscape and gives the yard a softer, more finished feel while keeping the backyard open and usable.

FRSR also installed decorative rock beds, mulch planting areas, boulders, spruce trees, shrubs, and landscape edging throughout the yard. These elements help frame the lawn and patio while adding structure, texture, color, and long-term curb appeal.

The split-rail fencing helps define the property and gives the yard a clean Colorado look that works well with the open space, lawn, plantings, and hardscape features.

The finished Milsap Project is a strong example of how stamped concrete, fire features, seat walls, sod, rock, plantings, and full landscape construction can work together to create a backyard that feels complete, functional, and built for Colorado outdoor living.
