Thornton Stamped Concrete Patio with Firepit, Seat Wall & Lower-Level Outdoor Living

The Mann Project in Thornton was designed to create a finished backyard outdoor living space underneath the upper deck area of the home. The project combines stamped concrete, a custom firepit, curved seat wall, steps, rock, and clean hardscape details into one usable patio layout.

FRSR installed a large stamped concrete patio as the main outdoor living surface. The decorative concrete finish adds color, texture, and character while creating a durable space for seating, entertaining, and everyday backyard use.

A custom stone firepit was built into the patio as the main gathering feature. The firepit includes a stone face, capstone top, and lava rock center, giving the backyard a strong focal point for relaxing and entertaining.

The curved stone seat wall helps define the firepit area and adds extra seating without closing off the patio. This gives the space more structure while keeping the layout open and easy to move through.

Stamped concrete steps were added to improve access from the home down to the patio. The steps tie directly into the patio finish and help make the lower-level outdoor area feel connected to the house.

Decorative rock was installed around the patio and along the slope areas to reduce maintenance, improve drainage, and create clean transitions between the hardscape and surrounding yard.

The project also included lighting details along the patio and steps, helping improve usability and giving the outdoor living area a more finished look during evening use.

The completed Mann Project is a strong example of how stamped concrete patios, firepit areas, seat walls, steps, decorative rock, and hardscape construction can come together to create a clean Colorado backyard outdoor living space.
