Johnson Project – Highlands Ranch, CO Stamped Concrete Patio, Deck, Seat Walls, Firepit, Water Feature & Lighting
Highlands Ranch Outdoor Living Space Built with Stamped Concrete, Stonework & Fire Features
The Johnson Project in Highlands Ranch was designed as a full landscape construction and outdoor living project that turned the backyard into a usable, finished space for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the open views behind the home.
FRSR installed a large stamped concrete patio with a natural stone style pattern and rich coloring. The stamped patio creates the main outdoor living surface and ties together the firepit, seat walls, water feature, steps, and lower entertaining area.
A raised deck was added above the patio to provide an additional outdoor space with elevated views. The deck includes railing and clean structural details that connect the upper living area to the lower patio below.
The project included custom stone seat walls and columns that help define the patio and create built-in seating around the space. These walls add structure, detail, and a more finished outdoor living feel than a flat patio alone.
A round firepit was installed as a central gathering feature, giving the backyard a comfortable destination point for evenings and entertaining. The firepit works with the surrounding seat wall and patio layout to create a warm, usable outdoor room.
A custom stone water feature was also added to bring movement and sound into the space. The waterfall feature gives the patio a strong focal point and adds another layer of detail to the finished design.
Low-voltage lighting was installed throughout the patio and wall areas to improve safety, highlight the stonework, and make the space usable after dark. The lighting adds a finished look and brings the stamped concrete, firepit, walls, and steps to life in the evening.
The finished Johnson Project is a strong example of how stamped concrete, deck construction, stone walls, fire features, water features, lighting, and complete outdoor living construction can come together into one finished backyard.
