Louisville Landscape Refresh with Sod, Rock, Mulch & Clean Planting Areas

The Essel Hut Project in Louisville was designed as a clean, practical landscape refresh focused on improving curb appeal, softening the property, and creating defined outdoor areas that are easier to maintain.

FRSR installed new sod areas to bring back a healthy green lawn and create a finished look throughout the property. The sod gives the space a clean, usable lawn area while tying the surrounding planting beds together.

The project also included fresh mulch beds around trees, foundation areas, and planting zones. Mulch helps improve the appearance of the beds while giving the plant material a cleaner, more defined setting.

Natural cobble edging and decorative rock were used to separate the lawn, planting beds, and foundation areas. These details help create stronger landscape lines and give the project a more finished appearance from the street and yard.

Shrubs, ornamental grasses, and smaller plantings were added throughout the beds to provide texture, color, and seasonal interest. The plant layout was kept clean and manageable so the landscape can continue to mature without becoming overgrown.

The backyard included a refreshed lawn area bordered by planting beds, stone edging, and existing mature trees. This created a more polished outdoor space while preserving the shade and privacy already on the property.
