Gray Concrete Patio with Inlay, Boulders, Sod & Barefoot Lakes Landscape Design

The Dix Project in Firestone was designed to turn a newer Barefoot Lakes yard into a more finished and usable outdoor space with strong structure, cleaner lines, and lower-maintenance landscape elements. At the center of the project is a gray concrete patio with inlay, giving the backyard a defined living area that feels more intentional than a basic builder-installed surface.

To add dimension and visual weight to the project, boulders were incorporated into the landscape layout alongside decorative rock and mulch. These elements help anchor the yard, soften transitions, and give the project a more established Colorado look while still keeping maintenance practical for day-to-day living.

New sod was installed to bring in usable green space and create contrast against the concrete and rock features. Evergreen tree plantings and custom planters add vertical interest, seasonal color, and a more finished feel throughout the yard. Fence work helped complete the project and define the space, giving the homeowners a backyard that feels private, clean, and ready to enjoy. The end result is a Firestone landscape construction project that blends concrete, plantings, boulders, and lawn into one cohesive outdoor environment built for Barefoot Lakes living.
