DePaul Project · Erie, Colorado
A Patio to Gather.
A Landscape to Enjoy.
A stamped concrete patio, custom stone firepit and curved seat wall create the gathering space in this Erie backyard. ColoradoScape planting, boulders, a stepper path and landscape lighting complete the yard around it.
Built Around the Fire.
Finished Beyond the Patio.
The DePaul project brings a firepit gathering area into a complete Erie backyard. Stamped concrete adds texture and color beneath the outdoor seating, while a custom stone firepit with a capstone top and colored fire rock gives the patio its focal point.
A curved stone seat wall adds built-in seating and defines the firepit area without enclosing it. Beyond the patio, decorative rock, river rock and boulders frame mulch beds filled with shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses.
A stepper path connects the landscape areas, and lighting adds a finishing detail for evening use. The patio, planting and access work together, giving the homeowners a place to gather within a lower-maintenance ColoradoScape yard.
