The fire pit was constructed with a stone-style masonry veneer featuring a mix of gray and natural earth tones. A wide segmented cap provides a finished upper edge and creates a strong contrast with the darker stone veneer below.

Decorative lava rock completes the center of the fire feature. The built-in design gives the space a permanent gathering point and feels much more integrated into the landscape than a portable fire bowl placed on the patio.

Decorative rock was installed throughout the outer portions of the backyard and around many of the trees, shrubs, and grasses. This reduces exposed soil and provides a durable, lower-maintenance base around the plant material.

The natural mix of colors in the rock complements the fire pit veneer, concrete, fencing, and exterior of the home. It also creates contrast against the artificial turf and flowering planting beds.
