Stamped Concrete Patio, Fire Pit and Seating Wall in Littleton

The Williams Project in Littleton transformed the backyard and surrounding landscape into a connected, comfortable, and highly functional outdoor living space. FRSR completed an expansive stamped concrete patio, custom gas fire pit, stone seating wall, masonry columns, stamped concrete walkways, decorative rock, retaining walls, and low-maintenance landscape improvements throughout the property.

The main patio extends beneath the existing elevated deck and into the open backyard, creating a large outdoor surface that can be used for seating, dining, entertaining, and everyday relaxation. Building beneath the deck also turned an underused area into valuable covered outdoor space.

A natural stone-style stamped pattern was selected for the concrete to add texture and visual depth. The warm earth-tone coloring complements the home, existing deck, stone masonry, landscape rock, and surrounding vegetation.

The patio layout was carefully planned around the deck supports, stairs, foundation, doors, lawn, planting areas, and existing grades. Clean control joints were incorporated throughout the concrete to help manage movement while keeping the finished pattern organized and attractive.

The primary gathering area is centered around a custom round gas fire pit. The fire pit was constructed with stone veneer and finished with a light-colored cap that coordinates with the nearby seating wall and columns.

A long stone seating wall creates permanent seating along the edge of the patio while also helping define the outdoor living area. The wall provides a practical place for guests to sit without crowding the patio with additional furniture.

Masonry columns were incorporated at the ends and transition points of the seating wall. These columns add height, structure, and a more finished architectural appearance to the hardscape.

The stamped concrete continues through a curved walkway that connects the driveway and front of the property to the backyard. This creates a durable and visually consistent route around the home while eliminating uneven or muddy access areas.

Decorative rock was installed along the walkway, foundation, retaining walls, and planting areas to reduce maintenance and create clean transitions throughout the property. Existing trees and shrubs help soften the extensive hardscape and provide shade, privacy, and a mature landscape feel.

Retaining walls and raised landscape areas were also incorporated to manage elevation changes near the front and side of the home. These walls create defined planting zones while helping the entire property feel more organized and connected.

The completed Williams Project gives the homeowners a large outdoor entertaining area with permanent seating, a custom fire feature, covered patio space, improved access around the home, and a cohesive combination of stamped concrete, stone, rock, lawn, and mature landscaping.
