Golden Backyard Paver Patio with Firepit, Seat Wall, Steps & Lighting

The Paul Project in Golden was designed as a backyard outdoor living space featuring a custom paver patio, stone firepit, curved seat wall, landscape steps, mulch beds, plantings, and lighting. The finished project creates a beautiful lower gathering space that blends naturally into the surrounding landscape.

FRSR installed a custom paver patio using premium concrete pavers that provide the appearance of natural stone while delivering long-term durability and performance. The curved patio creates a welcoming outdoor living area that is perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying Colorado's outdoor lifestyle.

A custom stone firepit was built into the patio as the main gathering feature. The firepit includes a stone face, capstone top, and lava rock center, giving the patio a strong focal point for evening use.

The curved stone seat wall adds extra seating and helps define the patio without closing the space off. This wall gives the outdoor living area more structure while keeping the layout open and connected to the yard.

Landscape steps were added to improve access through the sloped yard and connect the patio area back to the upper outdoor spaces. The steps help make the grade change easier to use while keeping the landscape clean and organized.

The project also included mulch planting beds, shrubs, grasses, evergreens, and low-voltage lighting details. These features soften the hardscape, bring texture to the yard, and make the patio feel more finished after dark.
