Arvada Backyard Landscape with Patio, Walkway, Rock, Sod & Plantings

The Wiggins Project in Arvada was designed as a complete backyard upgrade with a combination of stamped concrete, standard concrete walkways, sod, river rock, decorative rock, edging, and plantings. The finished yard gives the homeowner usable outdoor space while keeping the landscape clean and manageable.

FRSR installed a stamped concrete patio along the back of the home to create a larger outdoor living and entertaining area. The stamped finish adds color, texture, and detail while tying into the home and surrounding landscape.

A curved concrete walkway was added through the side yard to improve access and create a softer flow through the property. The walkway connects the backyard spaces while keeping the rock areas clean and easy to maintain.

The project also included a defined sod area that gives the backyard a usable green space without making the entire yard high maintenance. The lawn is bordered with edging and surrounded by rock to create clean lines and a finished look.

River rock and decorative rock were used throughout the landscape to help reduce maintenance, improve drainage, and create a Colorado-ready finish. The dry creek style rock areas add texture and movement while helping break up the larger rock sections.

Plantings were installed along the fence, around the lawn, and throughout the rock areas to add softness, structure, and seasonal interest. The mix of trees, shrubs, grasses, and smaller plants helps the yard feel complete without overcrowding the space.

The finished Wiggins Project is a strong example of how stamped concrete, sod, rock, walkways, seat walls, and landscape construction can work together to create a backyard that is functional, clean, and built for Colorado homes.
