A stamped concrete patio and new side-yard access turn this Castle Rock yard into usable outdoor space. Rock, boulders, natural stone steppers and planting beds finish the landscape around it.

The Short project connects a backyard gathering space with practical access around the home. A stamped concrete patio provides room for seating and everyday use, while concrete walkways make the side yard a defined route through the property.
Natural stone steppers continue into the landscape. Decorative rock and dry-creek-style river rock add texture around the paths and planting zones, with boulders giving the yard scale and structure.
Mulch beds, trees, evergreens and shrubs soften the stone and concrete. Planned together, the patio, access paths and landscape turn a new-construction yard into a finished space with less lawn to maintain.
