Complete Superior Backyard Built for Outdoor Living

The Zacharias Project in Superior was designed as a full landscape construction project that turned the backyard into a clean, functional outdoor living space. The finished design combines patio areas, artificial turf, decorative rock, plantings, lighting, and a custom outdoor kitchen into one complete layout.

The covered patio includes a built-in Bull BBQ wrapped with fauxstone to match the home’s exterior stone details. This created a permanent outdoor cooking area that feels connected to the house instead of looking like an add-on.

FRSR installed stamped concrete patios, steps, and steppers to create strong traffic flow from the covered patio to the lower outdoor living area. The stamped concrete gives the space a higher-end finish while still being built for Colorado weather and daily use.

The lower patio features a fauxstone firepit and seat wall area, giving the homeowners a separate destination space for relaxing and entertaining. The stonework ties into the outdoor kitchen and home veneer, helping the whole project feel intentional and cohesive.

Ultimate Natural Tall artificial turf was installed to create a lush, clean lawn area without the watering, mowing, and maintenance demands of natural grass. The turf provides a strong green contrast against the gray stamped concrete, river rock, boulders, and plantings.

The surrounding landscape was finished with a ColoradoScape approach using decorative rock, river rock drainage areas, boulders, ornamental grasses, evergreens, shrubs, and low-voltage lighting. These details soften the hardscape, improve curb appeal, and help the yard fit the open Colorado setting behind the home.

The result is a polished Superior backyard with outdoor cooking, firepit seating, artificial turf, stamped concrete, lighting, drainage rock, and landscape detail all built by one contractor from start to finish.
