Stamped Concrete, Outdoor Kitchen, Firepit, Retainer Walls, and Water Feature Design

The Sciullo Project in Westminster was designed as a full backyard transformation that blends hardscape, fire, water, and outdoor cooking into one cohesive outdoor living environment. Stamped concrete finished in cappuccino color with buff tan release and bluestone texture creates the primary entertaining surfaces, while gray concrete adds contrast and helps define different functional areas throughout the yard.

A fauxstone gas firepit creates a natural focal point for gathering and evening use, while the built-in outdoor kitchen anchored by a Bull Angus grill provides a dedicated cooking and serving area for entertaining. The combination of kitchen and fire feature gives the backyard strong usability and helps the entire space function as a true outdoor room rather than just a patio extension.

To add more visual interest and atmosphere, a sheerfall water feature was incorporated into the design, introducing movement and sound that softens the hardscape elements. Retainer walls help define the layout and support elevation changes while giving the backyard a stronger sense of structure. The result is a Westminster outdoor living project that feels polished, highly functional, and built to perform beautifully in Colorado’s climate.
